So, I find myself full of ideas and ready for a fresh start, so there’s nothing better than using a monthly calendar to make grand plans. Here’s my little owlie planner printable that has a Monday start, but otherwise blank for you to fill in with your own plans. I’m using my owlie illustration and I hope that it will keep you motivated and inspired to take action.
I’m excited to start posting my work in progress and share ideas to inspire or at least make you crack a smile… either way, I very much appreciate your visit to my humble blog.
We all need a bit of help at times and nothing like a cute owl proclaiming that “You can do it!” The fabulous weekend is grouped at the end, which is something great to look forward to each and every week. That’s why I love a Monday start calendar… it just makes so much more sense to me. I live in Italy, so it’s also pretty common for Europeans to have monthly calendars structured in this way.

A classic motif, how about this cute sun drawing as a free printable download? You can use it as a digital stamp or a stencil for other crafty projects.

As you can see I created a variation for this little digital drawing. Is it a happy sun or a flower? Maybe both!
More doodles to share with you and in playing around, it made me realize how simple little tweaks can make such a difference. Suddenly a sun because a flower. You can download the giant 300dpi line drawings above by just clicking and downloading to your computer.
I also played around coloring up the images and creating some more patterns. Just randomness and experimentation. It all looks very graphic and not what you normally see in patterns, but I am still learning!

The days are getting super hot here in Tuscany, Italy and we have a little family of geckos or some type of lizard living outside our house on the walls. They supposedly eat mosquitos, so I guess that’s a good thing?
Maybe it’s the heat getting to me or perhaps because I have a lot more time to actually ponder things these days, working alone at home. It always makes me ruminate about what I should be doing and what I should be accomplishing. I love my country life here in Italy, but I know I’ve got to do more as well. So many thoughts about my creative life!
I also wanted to give a shout out to Lindsay from The Frugal Crafter blog as she mentioned me in her latest post – what an honor! Thank you!

Looking for a cute chicken drawing that you can download and print for free? Check out my little hen illustration, so you can start your DIY project!

Here’s another little digital doodle I created, a little cute chicken drawing. I was thinking of hens, so that is how this digital stamp came about. It’s funny how much I love to sleep and if the room is always dark, I might just brood all day long – haha, the hen in me!
After drawing this little chicken up, I played around with coloring and pattern making as well. Just some variations and wondering how patterns work and how to make them more interesting and less… repeating, I guess?
Obviously, patterns repeat… but to make it look more random I suppose. Still much to learn, but I do love digital drawing and how the simplest things can be the cutest as well.

I hope you will enjoy this cute little chicken drawing and might use it in your crafting projects. From making digital cards to color pages to other paper crafts. Thanks for stopping by! And of course, I hope to share more soon.

Looking for a simple cute owl drawing for free download? Here’s my first little foray into illustrating digitally, transforming doodles into digital stamps.

Today I created a simple cute owl drawing… let’s call him owlie! I hope you’ll enjoy using him in your crafty projects. It’s obviously a great digital stamp image, but I have realized that outline drawings are just clipart that can be used for many different things. Or even just coloring pages for little kids! Just click on the image above to get the full 300dpi PNG to download for personal use.
I’m not sure where all of this random designing and illustrating will take me in the end, but I have so many ideas. I colored owlie up and made a desktop wallpaper to try out. It’s a great thing to have a motivating message every time you look at your computer, right? I’m definitely into positivity, trying to combat the overanalyzing and rumination in my thoughts.

Using the same owlie image, I created a little repeat pattern as well. Just testing things out and seeing what is possible. Obviously I have so much to learn still. But the possibility is there! I think a pattern would probably work better if there were more variations of owlie with other elements and not just a simple repeated image. Of course, I don’t know anything about this kind of design, so there’s room to grow and learn for sure.
I do love the idea of pattern design. It can be so mesmerizing to create and look at… the beauty of art and design, right?

I hope my digital explorations will take me somewhere, as I am still trying to find my place creatively in this big world. I’ve gone through some life changes and all this time to contemplate has left me a bit restless, I suppose.
Some days are lovely and others are frustrating, but I guess I have to listen to my own motivations, and as owlie says, just do it! Thanks for checking out my simple cute owl drawing and I hope to share more soon!

Wondering how to use printables in your crafty projects? It’s definitely an amazing resource and I’m exploring cardmaking right now!
Using my own heart themed digital stamps and designs (check out the freebies) – I’ve made a bunch of handmade cards. It’s exciting to be able to create my own designs and using them to realize some type of project. But of course, you don’t have to make your own designs, because there are so many printables out there for free download (as well as paid ones)
All you need is a bit of time to explore the options and try out printables for yourself. Here’s what I created today…

Using Digital Printables
If you are wondering how to use printables, it’s really the most simple process. Digital printables are basically digital files you can download onto your computer. They might be PDFs or image files like JPGs. Either way, once you save them on your computer, you are free to print them at home or send them to a print shop. You can resize and adjust as you like, but the idea is that you can print your own designs to use crafting.
Digita papers are great for scrapbooking and cardmaking – or really any paper project you have in mind.
As for various designs and digital stamps, you can use the outlines and imagery as templates for stenciling or other home decor projects. The sky is really the limit… it’s up to your imagination.
And the great thing about printables is that you always have the digital file, so you can reuse and try things again and again. Digital supplies also take up much less space!
