Printable gift tags for Christmas - Free printable download on tortagialla.com

There are many lovely Christmas printables available out there, but I was looking for something easy to use. I wanted something printer-friendly and easy to prepare when needed in bulk.

So I decided to design my own set Christmas gift tags with cute little designs. My illustrations are in a pastel palette, but still appropriate for kids, adults, men and women. There’s also no waste of paper as you simply cut the paper into 8 equal parts. These gifts tags are super quick and easy to use.

Formatted on both LETTER and A4 sized paper, you can download whatever paper size you normally use at home. Print the PDF at actual size and then trim the paper equally in half, half and again to get 8 tags. No fussy cutting, no trimming off paper edges or confusion with fancy shapes. These are super easy and quick so that you can print and trim a whole bunch in no time. You can even ask your kids to help out with this crafty project.

I definitely needed these tags for my gift wrapping this season, so I hope you will enjoy using them as well. However many presents you are adding under the tree, these gift tags will surely come in handy.

They are actually super versatile, because you can definitely use them in scrapbooking as well. Use as embellishments or cardmaking pieces or cut out the illustrations for DIY decor for a variety of projects. I really love the designs because they are classic, but with a unique twist.

Download your preferred paper size below and print on cardstock if you want to punch a hole and string through some festive ribbon for decoration. However, I actually printed on regular printer paper and washi taped them down onto my gifts.

International Correspondence Writing Month + Rosie the Riveter Stationery Set

Download this set of Rosie the Riveter printable stationery for your correspondence letterwiting this month and beyond!

Rosie the Riveter free printable stationery on tortagialla.com

InCoWriMo is shorthand for International Correspondence Writing Month and it happens February of each year. The point is to write a letter, card or note to someone every single day of the month. April is also letterwriting month for those participating in that challenge – although I suppose we should simple note that it is ALWAYS a good time to send someone a handwritten letter or card!

I have participated on and off with various snail mailing and correspondence challenges over the years and although I always find it challenging to keep up, I know from experience that participating means that I will write and send more mail than if I just passed.

I don’t know if multiple people are claiming the name but I found multiple references to this letter writing challenge and multiple websites! There is InCoWriMo.org and incowrimo-2017.org – is it two groups promoting the same thing? And of course there is also the LetterMo challenge – same exact idea really. I don’t know who started first or if they just have different names for different groups who like to participate together, but I can understand that February is a popular month for challenges given that it has the least number of days in the year. Trying to help everyone succeed, right?

Regardless, you can definitely participate with whatever challenge or group you choose. They all provide some resources to help you prepare and get started. Namely, it would help to write a list of who you want to write to, get mailing addresses ready, prep stationery/cards/postcards and mailing stamps at hand!

Personally, I don’t think I will make it to the post office or post box every day, so will probably do every couple of days or weekly drops. As with all challenges, you can follow the rules strictly, or just make up your own. Because the point is to doing something enjoyable and not beat yourself up!

I noticed that Boho Berry blogged about InCoWriMo with a giveaway and so did Goulet Pens. I also noticed that quite a few folks in the letter writing community blogged about the upcoming event, so there are groups popping up if you want to join a smaller group who will write to each other. It’s just another way to do some pen pal writing for this month of intense letter writing!

For my own contribution, I would love to share a printable stationery set, so you can prepare for your month of letter writing. I took my Rosie the Riveter drawing and colored her up to design a set of printable stationery for you. There are lined and blank pages as well as the matching envelope. You can easily print out the stationery in advance!

I definitely had instagram on my mind when I created these, because suddenly everyday photo taking was expanded and considered normal across the board. It’s not just scrapbookers, but everyday we all have the ability to document our lives, since snapping a photo with our phones is so easy.

Now, it’s time to actually put those photos to use and print them out or put them together in an album. With a variety of photo frames to choose from, you can use my photo frame love designs on top of your own 4×6 photos! They make a great decoration and accent. You get high quality PNG files, so they are also great for printing and use as journaling cards or decoration for planners and art journaling.

Color Your Stress Away

colordoodlejournal

I’m pretty sure you have witnessed the adult coloring book trend. It’s no surprise, since art therapists have been using similar techniques to help patients deal with anxiety and stress.

I think crafty folks like you and me have been doing this kind of therapy all along! Scrapbooking, cardmaking, playing with pretty paper – like coloring – can be another form of meditation, right?

However, I was surprised to learn learn that coloring allows us to switch off our brains from other thoughts and focus on a simple activity whereas doodling and other forms of creation might not.

Apparently, when there are options and too many decisions to be made, it can be overwhelming. Coloring is much more simple with repetitive movement and simply filling in of areas.

Okay, maybe there are some people that do such fancy coloring, it might still be stress inducing for me – hah! But I thought Kathy Rac’s 30 Day coloring challenge over at TheDailyMarker.com would be a nice way to color your stress away! I’ve totally missed a huge part of it, but better late than never, right?

I also realized that I used to make so many black and white line drawing illustrations as digital stamps. It’s like a free library of printables that are great for coloring, so feel free to print and color along – link to a whole bunch of free printable designs below.  It’ll be fun to join in on the challenge and super easy to color a little bit every day with these images…

DIY Father’s Day Gift of Love of Time

When it comes to gift giving, I always struggle with finding the right item. Especially on a holiday like Father’s Day, it’s ever-so-more difficult to find a thing that is supposed to express the enormity of your love and appreciation. It’s really not possible, is it?

LTieu-Gift-Your-Precious-Time

Over the years, I’ve realized that it’s the experiences that really matter the most, mean the most and are the most memorable for everyone. So this Father’s Day why not try gifting your love with a sentiment and your time by planning an activity that can be enjoyed together?

I think it’s the ultimate DIY!

Haha, but of course I had to design a card with a sentiment to go along with my idea. Nothing like a card to express your most heartfelt sentiments! I opted for a really minimal design this time around, would be so cool letterpress I think! Feel free to download, share and gift the printable love you card shown below. Enjoy!
