Looking to make a faux library card pocket for your paper projects? Print your own using this free printable library card template – a free PDF download.

In writing my handmade zine (Issue 2 of Pensieri) named Pockets Galore, I’ve been exploring all kinds of pockets we can print-at-home and make for paper crafting projects.
I’ve made so many examples and prototypes and it’s a fun process to test out what works! One such pocket type is the old school library card pockets at the front of books. I don’t think libraries actually use them anymore, but they still look so cool!
You can probably find them in old library books or vintage paper lots, but it’s a lot easier to just make your own! Use my printable library card template to make as many as you need for your cards, journals and planner decoration.
Just print out the PDF template I’ve created, trim to size, fold along lines and glue to your project. You can obviously distress it or decorate as you would like as well.
By the way, I’ve also designed printable library journaling cards in the past, so you can print those out and stick those in the pocket as well.
I love to use this printable library card template for adding pockets into my journal pages and sometimes I print on kraft paper to change things up, not just plain white paper.

Would you like some free printable vintage text paper pages for your papercrafting projects?
Vintage and grungy looking text seems to be always in style and useful for any crafty project. I was reading some sonnets by Shakespeare and decided to make a few vintage looking text pages with his verses. These can be printed out for crafting with or used digitally in scrapbooking or other artsy projects.
Hope you enjoy these vintage text pages with the words of Shakespeare. Have fun and happy Wednesday!

Looking for a free printable library card template? Here are some mock printables for decorating your books and papercrafting.

Another week means another free printable for you!
As I work on designs, sometimes there are extras left over that I put up as a free download here on the blog. It’s nice to be able to share something that others can use in their crafting. The more the merrier!
Here’s an example of something that I wanted to create, just because library journaling cards have been all the rage in papercrafting. They seem to be popping up all over, in scrapbooking and cardmaking.
Although it would be great to find real vintage library cards to incorporate into projects, it’s nice to have a printable version that I can repeatedly use. Print as many copies as you like!
Here’s my free printable library card template in a couple of styles.

Looking for printable telegram papers for your next papercrafting project? Here are some free downloads I have created…

Another hump day and my list of to do’s is definitely piling up. Even with some pressing items, I just couldn’t help myself and started working on a scrapbooking mini album. Sometimes you just have to take a break, right? I recently discovered tissue paper roll minibooks and posted the beginnings of my obsession. A 3-inch by 4-inch book seems pretty small and easy to complete, but it actually takes quite a few steps from preparing the photo layout to embellishing.
At one point I had to get on the computer and create a journaling design. I need lines to journal on because I can’t handwrite straight and the easiest thing is to design and print journaling tags at home! My design will go on the back of photo tags that slide into the flattened tissue paper rolls.
My design idea is a vintage telegram look, but I can’t decide if I will print it with the old paper background or print on white paper and distress myself. Either way I thought it would be nice to share the design with all of you. Perhaps you will find a good use for them – collaging, art journaling or maybe a few tags like me.

Click on the images to download the hi-res JPGs (For some reason some people don’t see the images, so you can download the ZIP file here.) I would love to see what you create with them as well, feel free to post a comment. Here’s a peek of the my minibook in progress…wish me luck on getting it done, so perhaps I can finally get back to work!
