A crafty friend of mine had a card project and asked if I had a vintage sheet music printable, so I went ahead and created it for her. I thought it was only right to share with everyone since it’s already created and I love to design and share printables.
So this simple vintage paper background has sheet music on top, so you can get that old fashioned feeling for backgrounds and even junk journaling. This paper design is great for Christmas or music themed projects… but then again I feel like vintage papers make great backgrounds for any kind of theme. From journals to planner decor to scrapbooking and card projects… printable papers are really versatile.

Looking for some free printable vintage papers and cards? Check out this freebie design for your cardmaking and papercrafting projects.
I’m all for color and cute designs, but there’s definitely a special place in my heart for shabby papers, aged ephemera and the oh-so-warm earthy colors of anything vintage.
I think it’s pretty amazing that we can scan real-world items into the computer, so that we can manipulate them, remix and ultimately create lots of neo-vintage inspired designs. Yeah, I think I just made up that term neo-vintage.
I realize these new designs do not hold the true stories of real-life ephemera, but I still enjoy the design process of mixing and matching and being able to share the end result with you.
I created these set of 10 vintage journal cards and wanted to share with a little bit of the old world. You can download the files below and print them out for your own paper collaging and decor. They are designed to be 4×6″ cards, but you can easily print at a smaller percentage for your traveler’s notebooks and art journals.

Here’s a vintage style free printable telegram template for some fun papercrafting DIY projects.
By the request of a lovely tortagialla newsletter subscriber, I’ve taken my telegram printable design from years ago and transformed it into a full set of stationery printables to share here on the blog!
It was actually easy to do since the design already existed. I simply formatted it into a printable set of stationery including both lined and blank telegram paper designs. There’s also a matching envelope so you can stick with the whole theme.
I’ve also created both black and white as well as the full color vintage aged versions. I thought perhaps some people might like to print the full color design, but others might try to age it themselves. Have you ever tried tea staining? It’s super fun! Or try coffee and get the kids to help out, too.
To get the telegram printables just choose the color and paper size of your choice below and download the printable PDF file. You can print whichever pages you would like to use.

As I was editing and working in Illustrator, looking at my telegram design from many many years ago, I realize that it is super simple. If I created the design today, I would definitely use different font and add more details. Maybe I’ll have to create another updated version?

I’m not sure what it is, but everyone seems to love the look and feel of vintage maps. I’m definitely no exception and one day would love to have a variety of vintage maps framed in my house. Besides the fun of learning a bit of geography when we look at maps, it’s also fun to discover what has changed since the map had been created. There are so many party games that can come out of having a few maps on your wall too! Anyway, I thought it would be cool to use a vintage world map as part of an airmail design that you can print and fold to become a postcard. I found this cool map that has different routes drawn out – like you are sending your postcard across the world.
I realize that a postcard needs to be of a certain thickness, so make sure you print this on thick cardstock that can be sent by post. Otherwise, you can even wrap this around an existing postcard to be sure it is sendable. Just download the file below in the paper format your prefer.
