I love creative journaling and memory keeping, so often find myself in need of little labels for notes and captions. I thought the little vintage label look would be super cute and versatile for so many projects, so made myself a million colors.
With these tags printed on some cardstock, I’ve got a whole bunch of labels to use in my papercrafting. So easy and fun to use!

You and I both know that excess sugar is no good for our bodies.
I certainly feel the issue every single day. It’s like a drug, because it can be so addictive. We know better, but it’s not easy to take action when life is so busy and we are occupied with so many other things from morning until night.
I’ve personally tried to quit sugar many times, but my attempts to strip it out violently hasn’t worked. I would be strong for awhile, then fall back into the hole and start binging.
Each time, it just made me feel gross and unhappy about my habits in life. Can you relate?
I truly want to kick the sugar habit, but small attempts here and there have been unsuccessful for me. I realize that it’s time to take it all a bit more seriously.
I feel that when things get hard for me, it’s all the more reason to investigate and figure it out. It’s probably important and that’s why it’s so challenging.
Sugar is said to be the single biggest contributor to weight gain, type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, cancer, liver disease, Alzheimer’s and more.
There are plenty of scientific studies that show that sugar is the dietary contributor to a whole lot of diseases. From the World Health Organization to the American Institute for Cancer Research to the Journal of Pharmaceutical Research. A simple Google search will reveal all. Look it up and weep!
It’s not that sugar is all bad, but it’s all the extra, non-natural, processed kind that is consumed in so many products today. Often, we don’t even realize it! Products in our supermarkets today contain all kinds of sugars, even when you least expect it.
I know that to live a healthy lifestyle, I need to go to the foundations and make sure I’m not bombarding my system with sugar that can cause all sorts of imbalances and damage.
It’s all related after all. Thyroid conditions can cause fatigue, weight gain, joint pains and depression. Adrenal fatigue can cause skin conditions, diabetes, metabolic disorders and immune disorders and more. Weight gain and hormonal imbalances… all these bad things can come from excessive sugar consumption. Yikes!
Of course, the root of the matter is how to quit sugar. Like many things in life, we know what is best… but how to put it in action?
Well, that’s why I created this sugar workbook to help myself kick the habit. And to give myself all the help possible, I’ve started using my essential oils as a companion along this challenge.
The idea is to assess the situation, create a plan for healthy foundations and focus on problem areas. It might not be an overnight fix, but slowly I will kick the bad choices out of my life. We have to create new, better habits to replace the bad ones!
The only way to get to success, is to set ourselves up for success, right?
Download this printable sugar workbook I’ve created to help with your journey to better living. It will guide you through the steps of tracking consumption, finding replacements and forming better habits for a better lifestyle, without sugar!

We all know that self-care is important because if you don’t love and take care of yourself, you will not be able to do the same for others around you. I believe that elevating yourself will also elevate those around you!
As a mom of two little ones, I’m realizing how important it is to show my kids my self-care habits and rituals. They need to see by example that it is something we all should do for ourselves and it’s not weird or random or only once in a while, rather something important that we make time for.
I also realized that it would be good to practice self-care for families as well. When it comes to living together as a unit, there are things we can do to nurture our little family… so thus, self-care ideas for families.
Here are some practical ideas for things you can do with your family to promote self-care, nourishment and healing.
Physical activity is an important part of taking care of our bodies, so make sure to teach your kids this lesson by example, but to also do things together. It doesn’t have to be as boring as “exercise” – they can be fun activities for the whole family.
Practicing gratitude and discussion within the family to stimulate our minds is a great way to connect and nourish our family ties… but also provide mental challenges and time together in thinking and exercising our minds.
Finally, there is the nourishment of our spirits and whatever spiritual practice you might practice, there are plenty of things we can do together as a family. Make it a habit and your kids will grow up that habit!
I believe that self-care is not just a nice to have, but necessary for balancing the body. To check-in without needs and be more pro-active in caring for ourselves.

How are you doing in the self-love department? Are you taking good care of your mind, body and soul? I hope my printables can help you along your journey to better self-love.

Self-love does not mean you are self-ish or self-centered. Please don’t fall into that shame trap. I believe that self-love is truly about taking the time to replenish, heal and nurture your body, mind and spirit.
It’s not just a good-to-do thing… it is a necessary thing to do. You cannot truly nurture others fully, if you do not deeply love and nurture your own self. Makes sense, right?
So do you truly love yourself?
Yes? Maybe? Not quite sure? Perhaps you can always improve and do better?
I often find myself pondering this topic of self-love and self-care. When is it enough, when have I done a good job or have I gone overboard and beyond? How can I know what is right or wrong?
That’s why I created this self-love checklist. It’s a quick run down that you can revisit from time to time, to see how you are doing in the self-love department. It’s especially helpful when you are feeling restless or in the blues.
Try diffusing some grounding and soothing essential oils, then settle down to really tune into your thoughts and journal it out.
MIND: What does your inner monologue and dialogue sound like?
Do you treat yourself kindly? I often hear people berating themselves and calling themselves names and it pains me so much! Even if it seems like a minor thing, I believe it’s a detail that can shift your entire perspective and self-esteem. Please remember that you are not a stupid person ever, but sometimes you might do some stupid things. There is a difference between saying, “Oops that was a silly thing to do!” versus “Ugh, I’m such a stupid person, why did I do that?” Think about it.
Your mind also needs constant nourishment and even challenges for stimulation. So do you let yourself follow your curiosities and explore new avenues? Keep things interesting and always be open to learning new things!
BODY: What do you see when you look in the mirror?
Are critical comments immediately popping up in your head? Or do you love your body, just as it is? How we see our physical bodies, reflects our feelings of self-worth and esteem. So it’s important to have a positive attitude. And even when you want change, is it in a shaming, damning manner or simply reaching towards improvement and growth? Big difference.
And of course, it’s important to make sure you are eating and moving your body. We all know those are pillars to living well and feeling good.
SOUL: What are your hobbies and do you spend enough time with them?
What activities make you lose track of time, because you are in the flow? Do you meditate or dance or create art? Do you practice your “flow” activities and enjoy them often enough to nurture your spirit?
It’s so important to nurture your creative soul. Feed it well and even give it a vacation at times. But most of all, just make sure you make time for soul activities, no matter how busy your schedule might be. Sometimes it’s a matter of standing still, me-time, peace and tranquility.
SPACE: How do you feel in your home, room, desk?
We all want a safe and pleasant environment to nestle into, so make sure you give yourself that space. Make the best of what you have, but make it yours. Decorate to your heart’s content and don’t forget that your physical space is often a reflection of your head space.
Finally, give love to receive love.
Do you show your love to those around you in a real, physical way? When was the last time you handed out a compliment? It’s easy to be super focused on our internal selves, but we also have to take note of how we reflect our thoughts and feelings outward.
Sometimes I find myself spending a lot of time thinking instead of doing. So I need the reminder to actually put my thoughts into action, because the people around you cannot read your mind. It’s important to check-in and see if you are also giving, helping and loving on a regular basis…
