Looking for a free printable gingham papers? Here’s my interpretation of the classic gingham design in a bright Spring color palette.
If you didn’t know already, I’m a big fan of designing repeat patterns. I’ve decided to go back to the basics and explore all the classic pattern designs and today we have the checkered gingham motif. It’s a classic type of background that we often use in projects.
I’ve decided to create the gingham pattern design in a variety of Spring colors, perfectly light and bright. There are actually many variations of a gingham pattern, all around overlapping lines, making grids and the criss-crossing of fabric threads. So there are other variations possible that would still be considered gingham. It’s interesting how many variations there can be!
However, for today I’ve gone with a pretty simple and clean pattern design. I think it’s universal and super versatile for all kinds of projects.

Looking for gingham paper that you can print out instantly? Here’s a set of classic gingham colors for all your paper crafting projects.
Recently, I posted free printable gingham papers in a pastel color palette here. Afterwards many of you wanted classic colored gingham paper as well. So I created another set of gingham digital papers to add to the collection.
My husband and I always laugh when we see the red and white gingham pattern out in the real world. It’s stereotypically a reminder of Italian restaurants and my husband is Italian! But it’s even more funny only because you do see it in actual Italian restaurants here in Tuscany. Perhaps stereotypes all start from some seed of truth?
So this time around, I decided to create a classic set of gingham papers in classic colors: black, red, blue, green and orange. It’s definitely more bold and can easily be used for neutral or more masculine projects as well.

Need a pattern paper printable for boys or rock music lovers? Instantly download this free paper featuring guitars and stars for all your crafty projects!
I love digital printables and pattern paper is a favorite for me to create and share. I love designing and creating repeating patterns and a large scrapbook paper size means you can use it for so many projects.
What do you usually use printable paper or scrapbooking for? Art journals? Planner decoration or cardmaking? I pretty much do it all and love playing with paper.
Where are the masculine designs?
One thing I have noticed is that most designs are very girly and feminine. And I love them, don’t get me wrong. I have a weakness for pink and pink and more pink! But I also have a husband and a son, so other designs can be useful as well.
So today, I wanted to share something for the men and boys in our lives. How about a bit of rock n’ roll, guitars and stars? This paper is great for boys, teens and music lovers in general. You can use this printable paper for lots of masculine projects and I’ve included a white version as well as a gray twill texture version.
