I happened upon a mixed media challenge called Our Mixed Media Moods and decided to participate. Two artists, DeeDee and Jenn post a moodboard and everyone creates a piece from that inspiration. Such a cool idea, so I had to dive in and try to learn about using new mixed media materials.

This traveler’s notebook DIY video tutorial is an extra post on the blog, as I try to catch up and post youtube videos that I failed to include on the blog… oops!

In the video, I show you those the traveler’s notebook covers I have made for myself and the process of making an actual fauxdori with your own materials. I have blogged about my process before here – but I think many like to watch the process in video format, so here it is.

It’s a very simple and easy process using scrap leather and heavy cardstock – enjoy!
