I know that I’m posting late in the month of June for Pride month of awareness, but I’ve had this idea in my mind for awhile, just took a bit to get onto the computer and design! The month of June every year is when we celebrate in a number of ways to recognize, bring awareness and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Why June you say? Because it is when the Stonewall Riots took place, way back in 1969. Known as the “Mother of Pride”, Brenda Howard is credited to have started this June celebration.
Certainly things have come a long way, but there’s still a long path ahead of us because injustice is still rampant and doing harm to the the LGBTQIA+ community. There are countries where it is still illegal to be gay, so progress still needs to be pushed forward. I have loved ones in this community and even if I didn’t know anyone personally, it still means a lot of mean to support diversity and freedom for all. I believe that love is a basic human right, so I’ve always loved the phrase Love is Love. That’s why I created this design and I think it’s perfect to put up on the wall, include in your planner and/or your journal for some lovely journaling time.

For the month of June, I thought it would be great to create a rainbow colored inspired design in celebration. So I thought this textured stripe pattern would be perfect and super versatile to use. The rainbow color palette is an essential for June to celebrate Pride Month, but is also a very common color palette for all kinds of projects. If you like brightness and color, these papers are for you!
This set of digital papers come in 3 variations so you can choose the thickness of the stripe that suits your project’s needs. Also, remember when printing digital papers you can also size the paper by percentage to get the scale you prefer as well.

Check out this free scallop digital paper printable download for a whole set of of beautiful designs to use digitally or print at home.
Mid-year here in Italy means that school is out and summertime vibes are in the air. Most people typically hit the beach, but we don’t go as often as you might think. My kids seem to like the pool more than the beach… so we definitely alternate depending on the weekend.
I started thinking about the mermaid trend and how a set of scallop papers would be cool to use throughout the summer season, so created this whole pack in a pretty color palette to share with you. There’s a slight textured feel to these papers and I think they make great backgrounds for a variety of projects. It’s like a foundational start to a scrapbook page, journal page or perhaps dashboards or other paper projects you might be thinking to create.

Looking for some free printable posters around the theme of no war, peace and freedom? Download these free designs for your personal use and let’s keep spreading the word on justice and what is right!
It’s no joke to say that these past couple of years have been quite challenging for most people in the entire world. There’s so much going on and maybe it’s also part of growing up and realizing there’s so much turmoil in our world and there’s always some injustice somewhere. It can be a very heavy subject and I realize not everyone likes these kinds of discussions.
However, I think it’s important, no matter how frustrated or tired we are… to ultimately remember and reinforce our values in life… so we don’t lose sight of the truth. We cannot waver, no matter what.
Politics, covid and now war in Europe. Definitely challenging for all of us and especially for those of us trying to explain to our children what it all means… answering their questions and worries. Coming from the design world, I wanted to share some designs I whipped up around the theme of no war, peace and freedom… I think they make great posters if you are heading out to protest or just want to put something up outside your house. They also make great printables to include in your scrapbooking and journaling, so you can document the times and write out your thoughts.

The peace flag is actually “Pace” which means peace in Italy. This rainbow flag in Italy was first used in a peacemarch in 1961, inspired by similar multi-coloured flags used in demonstrations against nuclear weapons. You can read more about the Peace flag on Wikipedia here. I have created the Pace version and Peace version in case you want it in English – it’s not official – just my version for your personal use!
